Election season 2020
The election season in Saskatchewan and the United States is fast approaching and I think it is important to dissect the platforms of the major parties and the major players in both the provincial and municipal levels.
Law makers or potential law makers tend to use terms such as, economy, working class, tax payers, public good, balanced budgets, surplus budgets (Australia), slice of the pie, cost and many other terms to make voters feel good. But what do they really mean and do they actually mean it?
The main stream media in Saskatchewan, and in the country in general, tends think that we live in the 1950's pushing the same and tired old arguments and phrases even while we are trying to avoid planetary catastrophe. As a result we have to have a way of reaching out or in the least putting out progressive voices in the sea of "neoliberalism".
My hope over the next couple of months and years would be to talk about the stuff which hardly gets a mention in the main stream press.
Whenever it is feasible I will also try to simultaneously publish the same article on Medium.
